Dana Bregman - Chartered Physiotherapist, MFR Specialist, and Therapeutic Coach

Her work centres on myofascial release, a gentle hands-on therapy that aims to dissolve blocks to movement while calming an aroused nervous system, creating a sense of safety in the body that enables healing to occur. Trained extensively in the UK, and certified at expert level by John F. Barnes in the United States, Dana is skilled at identifying fascial restrictions that may be driving pain and symptoms elsewhere in the body.

She also integrates bonework to support recovery after fractures and scarwork to minimise scar appearance while softening and restoring restricted tissue.

Alongside body work, Dana holds a diploma in Therapeutic Coaching® (trained with Alex Howard at the Optimal Health Clinic). She chooses to combine talking therapies with hands-on treatment, which seems to amplify the efficacy of both. She recognises that pain has physical, emotional and energetic roots, and helps clients understand the connection between unresolved emotional issues, stuck energy, and physical symptoms.

Physiotherapy Services

Myofascial Release

Injury, trauma, inflammation and surgery all cause restrictions in the connective tissue (fascia). MFR is a gentle, long lasting and safe way to release restrictions, restore balance and movement, and eliminate pain.

Therapeutic Coaching®

Therapeutic Coaching sits between therapy and coaching — helping release the limitations of the past while creating a healthier, more empowered future. It is a mind–body approach that looks beyond symptoms to the deeper patterns driving pain, stress, fatigue and anxiety.

Physiotherapy for Hypermobility

Specialist physiotherapy aimed at improving body awareness, posture and balance, optimising joint stability and muscle strength alongside self help skills for injury prevention and pain management.

Physiotherapy for Women's Health Issues

MFR is a gentle yet potent modality which can help relieve woman from much pain an suffering in or around the pelvis whether the origin is physical or emotional.

BoneWork®

Precise yet gentle manual pressure can stimulate deformed or injured bones to restore a lot of normal structure and alignment, changes which are long lasting.

ScarWork®

ScarWork is a gentle hands-on treatment for scars and adhesions which promotes far fetching and long-lasting improvements in scars and the underlying tissue, and normalising the tissue, regardless of the age of the scar.

My Approach

My role as a physiotherapist is to support you, and enable you to achieve your goals, manage your conditions, and do the things you want to do with as little pain as possible.

Together we can explore what needs avoiding, and what needs incorporating to make things better. Without this, the issue may soon return!

I believe that the body is one: mind, body, mental, emotional and physical, from shoulder to hip, head to toe. My assessment and treatment therefore is one of the body as whole.

Based on the biotensegrity approach to movement, I work carefully to release, rebalance and realign the soft tissues all around the body. When tension and pain have been present for some time, it will require 'peeling layers off' (metaphorically speaking), before exposing the culprit.

I aim to facilitate and support your recovery. Treatment should be pain free and should always feel right for your body. Exercises should always support what you are aiming to achieve. You should always be in charge of your treatment.

My sessions are very hands-on. I use a refined listening touch, supported by intuition, to assess what your body wants and facilitate the desired change. It is always amazing to experience the transformation that happens between sessions. And when new patterns become part of every-day life, improvements can be maintained long term.
