Dana is a multidimensional physiotherapist with over 35 years of experience, bringing extensive expertise across fields ranging from orthopaedics to mental health. She works with people who have not found relief through conventional treatment and offers a deeply informed, holistic approach supported by a wide knowledge base and an extensive therapeutic toolkit.

Her work centres on myofascial release, a gentle hands-on therapy that aims to dissolve blocks to movement while calming an aroused nervous system, creating a sense of safety in the body that enables healing to occur. Trained extensively in the UK and certified at expert level by John F. Barnes in the United States.  Dana is skilled at  identifying fascial restrictions that may be driving pain and symptoms elsewhere in the body.

She also integrates Bonework to support recovery after fractures and Scarwork to minimise scar appearance while softening and restoring restricted tissue.

Alongside bodywork, Dana holds a diploma in Therapeutic Coaching ( trained with Alex Howard at the Optimal Health Clinic). She often combines talking therapies with hands-on treatment, as it seems it amplifies the efficacy of both. She recognises that pain can have physical, emotional and energetic roots, and helps clients understand the connection between unresolved emotional conflict and physical symptoms.

Physiotherapist Dana Bregman

My approach

My role as a physiotherapist is to support you, and enable you to achieve your goals, manage your conditions, and do the things you want to do with as little pain as possible.

Together we can explore what makes things worse (and needs avoiding), and what makes things better (and needs incorporating into your every-day life). Without this, the issue may soon return!

I believe that the body is one: mind-body, emotional-physical, and energetic, from shoulder to hip, head to toe. My assessment and treatment therefore is one of the body as whole.

Based on the biotensegrity approach to movement, I work carefully to release, rebalance and realign the soft tissues all around the body. When tension and pain have been present for some time, it will require 'peeling layers off' (metaphorically speaking), before exposing the culprit.

I believe my role is to facilitate and support your recovery. Treatment should ne pain free and should always feel right for your body. Exercises should always support what you are aiming to achieve. You should always be in charge of your treatment.

My sessions are very hands-on. I use a refined listening touch, supported by intuition, to assess what your body wants and facilitate the desired change. It is always amazing to experience the transformation that happens between sessions. And when new patterns become part of every-day life, improvements can be maintained long term.
