Combined Myofascial Release and Therapeutic Coaching®
Combining Myofascial Release (MFR), Therapeutic Coaching (TC), and intuitive awareness is my preferred way of working.
The benefits of a combined approach to healing
Myofascial Release regulates the nervous system, softens restrictions in the tissues, and creates space for emotions held deep in the fascia to surface and be safely experienced. This is a body-to-mind approach, where awareness arises through the felt sense.
Therapeutic Coaching offers a supportive framework and a wide range of tools to explore stuck patterns with awareness and compassion. Pain, fatigue, emotions, and limiting beliefs can be seen, accepted, and held before they shift. This is a mind-to-body approach: by bringing conscious understanding to emotional and physical patterns held in the body, we can address not just symptoms, but deeper drivers of pain, tension, stress, or emotional distress.
Alongside my training and experience, I draw on an intuitive awareness that guides the process. This helps me identify areas needing attention and, at times, bring insights that illuminate unconscious patterns. Clients often say this deepens their self-understanding and supports the process of change
Together, these approaches create a dynamic body-to-mind and mind-to-body process, fostering greater flow, clarity and a new way of being. As physical, emotional and mental patterns shift in a safe, regulated space, clients often feel a deeper connection to themselves, their inner wisdom and their purpose. This often brings greater empowerment, resilience, confidence and ease,

Shared foundations:
There is significant integrated “common ground” between Therapeutic Coaching® (as taught by Alex Howard of the Optimal Health Clinic) and my approach to Myofascial Release / mind-body work. The two approaches naturally combine:
Both see symptoms as multi-factorial, not purely physical - pain, fatigue and chronic symptoms rarely have a single cause.
Nervous system regulation is central. This is possibly the strongest overlap.
The body protects us — even when it hurts.
Emotional burden manifests physically, Again, there is a very strong overlap. Emotions are physiological events, not just psychological ones.
Focus on what is blocking recovery and how to remove barriers to healing rather than 'fixing the person'.
Rewiring patterns rather than chasing symptoms. New patterns replace old survival strategies.
Whole-person approach. Both reject reductionism. They treat the human system as integrated - mind, body, emotions, nervous system and lifestyle.
These approaches meet in the middle. Therapeutic Coaching releases the mental and emotional drivers of protection, while Myofascial Release frees the physical and nervous-system drivers of protection.
Together they address the same problem from both directions
